My Interview with London Film School & the Isle of Dogs Exhibition

In March 2018 I paid a visit to The London Film School to give a Masterclass for their Equal Access Network with Film London. I then met up with LFS’s OPEN Coordinator Catherine Pearson for a one on one interview before we took a tour of the Isle of Dogs Exhibition to see some of the puppets I animated!

My Interview with The London Film School

The Isle of Dogs Exhibition initially ran for 10 days in March 2018 at Store X on the Strand in London. However it exceeded expectation with over 50,000 visitors so was extended to 2 weeks. It featured a lifesize version of the noodle bar set with a non stop queue from Wes Anderson fans hungry to see the beautiful sets & taste their noodles Megasaki City style!

My Interview with London Film School & the Isle of Dogs Exhibition

I gave a stop motion Masterclass at LFS on 8th March 2018

With Catherine Pearson. The IOD Exhibition was 10 mins walk away from LFS - it seemed rude not to go!

Store X on the Strand. It had an amazing 50,000 visitors in 2 weeks!

Megasaki city was a set that took over 5 months to prepare & shoot. All fitted with individual practical lights!

Much of my time on the film was spent animating on the Municipal Dome interior

The Sake Bar set - completely lit by practical lighting (fitted within the set)

I animated the whole Bath House sequence (with the exception of one close up shot of the secret documents)

I spent 3 whole months animating this sequence!
